Monterey Bay Analytical Services presents our newest webinar in the "Tap to Lab" series:
"Tap to Lab: Field Collection and Instrumentation"
Thank you to everyone who came to our last webinar, we received great feedback and are excited to announce our next webinar in the "Tap to Lab" series. This will be a 2-hour class covering drinking water and wastewater sampling techniques for regulatory requirements and maintaining and using basic field instruments (meters and probes). Participants will receive 2 contact hours, a certificate of completion and a PDF of the webinar slides will be emailed to each participant following the class.

About the presentation and speakers:

David Holland will be supplementing knowledge throughout the webinar with his vast experience in distribution and treatment. David is the owner, co-founder and Laboratory Director of Monterey Bay Analytical Services, a California ELAP certified laboratory. He has over 30 years of experience performing chemical and biological analyses. David has a BS in Microbiology and is a certified Public Health Microbiologist. He was an adjunct instructor at Hartnell Community College and Gavilan Community College teaching in the Water Technology Programs. His other certifications include Water Distribution Grade I and Water Treatment Operator Grade II.

Mollie Wooden will be presenting bottles and techniques for sampling, how to maintain field equipment and use basic field equipment and sampling tips and tricks to sampling that focus on meeting your regulatory requirements. Mollie Wooden currently serves as the Laboratory Supervisor at Monterey Bay Analytical Services (MBAS). She is a graduate of Cal State Monterey Bay where she started as an intern at Monterey Bay Analytical Services in 2012. In addition to managing the lab's microbiological and biochemical analyses, she is the principal analyst for metals determination by ICP-MS and ICP-OES and oversees laboratory QA/QC requirements (to name a few duties). Her recent passion in outreach was sparked by presenting to college and high school students around the peninsula which has evolved into her drive to educate people about working in water quality labs including creating classes and performing more outreach via social platforms (@CaLabAnalyst). She holds a B.S. in Biology as well as a CWEA Grade III Lab Analyst Certification.
