Santa Cruz Time of Sale Water Quality Sampling Fee Schedule
Following documentation provided by County of Santa Cruz Health Services Agency, Environmental Health Division, all sellers of real property that receive potable water from an individual water system, must complete a water yield and quality test before property transfer. Monterey Bay Analytical Services would like to partner with you to sample these analytes during the yield test. Your operator will perform the sampling and with advanced notice we can pick up samples, analyze, report, and provide subcontracting services for the water quality tests below. Reports and invoices will be sent to you after completion of analysis. We provide pickup services for $50 within the Santa Cruz/Watsonville Hwy 1 corridor Tuesday and Thursday (appointment required). $15 pickup fee if samples are dropped off on Wednesdays before noon at Santa Cruz Environmental Health Laboratory on 1060 Emeline Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Pricing reflects standard turnaround time and samples received by the lab on the day of collection, Monday-Thursday before 4:30 pm. Valid through 2025.

2- If sample turbidity is >1 NTU, Mercury analysis will require subcontracting for EPA 245 with an additional fee = $75
3- For tests with a 48-hour hold time, samples received by the lab FRI-SUN/Holiday/Holiday Eve or the DAY AFTER COLLECTION incur a 50% rush surcharge for expedited or after-hours analysis to meet method hold time. Coliform samples received Friday-Sunday/holiday/holiday eve incur +50% surcharge for weekend/holiday analysis required.
